Hello everyone!
Let's talk a little bit about being different.
Sometimes different is a very good thing.
So when making cards or layouts, try something a little different, try thinking outside the box.
So when making cards or layouts, try something a little different, try thinking outside the box.
Here are a few ideas for working outside the box.
This card isn't your usual card that opens.
I used a tiny brown bag as a pocket for a tag on the front of a card.
You can stamp or write a sentiment on the tag and put it into the pocket.
Something a little out of the ordinary and it works.
On the layout below I have used pictures in a few different ways.
I used some of the pieces I had trimmed off the pictures to make letters.
The word "Sands" is cut out of pictures of the sand.
I used the Sizzix (which we have at MHP) to cut these letters, so it was easy to position the die on the small bits and pieces of pictures.
I had several pictures that were take from quite a distance from the subject.
This picture below is a picture of my husband at the top of a huge hill of sand. To give more attention and interest to him in the picture, I cut out various sizes of squares and framed him at the top of the hill.
I used card stock and another picture of the sand to frame him.
Doing this draws attention to the subject of the picture and reinforces the size of the hill he was on.
So next time you're making a card or a layout, try thinking outside the box, use some different supplies, or the leftover pieces, use a different style, do something out of the ordinary.
You might just love what you come up with!
Thanks for stopping in today, I hope I've given you some ideas and inspiration. Hope to see you at My Happy Place soon!
